The fashion label BAGAZ was founded by Yuliya Gröling and Veronika Filonova in Berlin in 2011. Their understanding of fashion is rooted in their professions – in Russia Yuliya studied art history and Veronika architecture. Applied constructivism led to the concept for BAGAZ: a symbiosis of Grunge and modern architecture.
Their premier collection features severe geometric shapes and casual functionality. A sophisticated rhythm of lines characterises the unique BAGAZ look. The two designers create fashion for women who stick out from the crowd and want to make their point. Women who emphasise their uniqueness and live a kind of protest. Women who demand clothes that accentuate a singular and different Weltanschauung.
The BAGAZ collection is intense and feminine. It projects the image of a powerful and rebellious woman. Its casual look, however, still manages to display sassy grace. To underline the casual nature of the collection, only high quality monochrome or subtly pattered and structured cotton, silk and woollen fabrics were used. The muted colours and layers of the collection challenge today‘s pomp and rigidity in fashion.
