»SLICK 10« CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR PARIS / 21ST-24TH OCTOBER 2010

SLICK, the contemporary art fair dedicated to uncovering new talents, will welcome you from October 21st to 24th in Paris, between the Palais de Tokyo and the Musée d'Art moderne de la Ville de Paris, during the FIAC.

SLICK celebrates its 5th year!
To celebrate it’s fifth year, Slick is moving! After two years at the CentQuatre, SLICK will be taking over a new space just minutes away from the Grand-Palais. SLICK 10 will be set between two of the most important French institutions
for contemporary art, the Palais de Tokyo and the Museum of Moderne Art, allowing for the creation of shared events bewtween SLICK and those two partners.

SLICK Orient
After SLICK-Berlin in 2009, an event focused on performance art in collaboration with the Point Ephémère for the 20th year of the fall of the Berlin Wall, SLICK is launching SLICK-Orient. Galleries selected for this project will propose a focus on artistic creation in the Asian, Indian, Middle-Eastern and generally Oriental world. The fair will showcase the vitality and diversity of an oriental artistic vocabulary. By exhibiting SLICK Orient in the fair, a dialogue between East and West is being proposed.

ARTE/Slick Prize
The ARTE/Slick Prize will recognize the talent and creativity of an emerging contemporary artist. Based on all the proposals presented by exhibiting galleries, one artist will be selected by a jury of experts chaired by President of Arte, Jérome Clément. The winner will be awarded a prize of 5,000 euros. In 2009, the winner was Erik Sep from the Gist Gallery.
