i would love to hold an ipad in my hands just to see this too! it’s amazing and everything else than a copy of reed and rader’s work. the above images are animated gifs and this is one of the oldest techniques to show animated images on the web. i used to create such images ten years ago, so please don’t talk about things you haven’t got a clue.
I still think it's a copy, or a large inspiration comes from their work for this shoot. Yes I know they're animated gifs and im just pointing out that I have seen noone do it commercially, or in fashion like they do, until this. Do you know other artists who do gifs with people? If so can you give me names so I can look at their work? Thanks.
PS. Thank you for accepting my comment. I just want to say that I posted on someone's blog who was large part of this shoot if the inspiration was Reed and Rader and they deleted my comment (twice). Makes me think it was...
nobody owns a technique, just because of being the first to use it... pierre has worked with animated gifs before this editorial for vogue hommes japan and the way it’s shown above is different then the stuff from reed and rader.
but hey: i’m absolutely for freedom of opinion! ;)
