»I have created a collection based around what feels like the key elements of my design. This means that you’ll find draped dresses, coat dresses and tights but I have also added a few more tailored pieces such as the coat and a pair of trousers.« Diana Orving
About the Designer
Diana Orving is a completely autodidact designer who in her teens started to sell her handmade clothes in boutiques in Stockholm. Her talent was unmistakable and soon Scandinavian fashion press hailed her as the new kid on the fashion block. Since then she has presented her collections in several subtly innovative fashion shows that she has curated herself. Diana Orving has also participated in exhibitions and was last year awarded the prestigious grant at the Stockholm Fashion Week. Her creations are characterised by layers and draped fabrics, which results in a dressed feeling and look. She finds her inspiration in the way everyone makes decisions about how they want to be seen by others through their way of dressing. Dance and movement are two other big sources of inspiration. Orving’s clothes are often changeable in their construction and can be worn in more than one way. The construction also make the garments adapt flattering to the body.
